Pewter Patina Maintenance
A SIMPLE GUIDE TO CARING FOR YOUR PEWTER PATINA PRODUCTS
About the finish
Forged from a durable steel base, the Pewter Patina finish has a textured surface which replicates natural weathering and further enhances the shadowy tones in this silvery-grey finish. The result is a soft finish that looks perfectly at home in rustic properties but can also add a lovely textured touch to contemporary homes.
Suitability
Suitable for interior and exterior use.
This finish is sealed with a protective lacquer and has excellent anti-corrosion properties, so can be used outdoors, although we recommend wiping the surface of external fittings regularly to remove harmful deposits from rainwater and traffic pollution.
Maintenance
This finish is very low maintenance and needs little attention to last on your doors for years to come. A wipe with a lightly oiled, clean non-abrasive cloth from time to time is all that is required to keep this finish looking its best.
Top tips
Always drill a pilot hole for screws. We recommend rubbing the screw with a little candle wax before fitting to make it easier to screw them in!
